YEARBOOKS ARE IN!!! We apologize for the delay, but the wait is over! Yearbooks will be distributed THIS Thursday 6/25 and next Thursday 7/2 in the front office from 8:30am-10:30am. Please pull up to the front of the school and have only 1 person enter the front office with a face mask. If there is a line, we ask that you maintain social distancing. If these times do not work for you, office staff will return on 7/15. Please call the office to set up a time to pick your yearbook up. Thank you and have a fabulous summer break!

Good afternoon CMS families. We wanted to update you on the delivery of our yearbooks. Due to Covid-19, delivery of our yearbooks from Jostens has been delayed. While we understand this is a bit frustrating, it's important to remember that safety of all, including the Jostens employees is of utmost importance. We are hoping to have the delivery of each yearbook directly to the homes of students who purchased them. We will continue to work with Jostens to keep you informed as to when you can expect delivery of the yearbook. Thank you!

CMS: Good Evening Spartan Families, The following is our schedule for our PE clothes pick up & textbook dropoff. It will be set up alphabetically by last name, and will take place in the student drop off area in the back of the school near the gym. Those that are receiving achievement awards will also be able to pick up their hard copy award at that time. Additionally, athletics pictures will also be distributed for those who purchased them. Yearbooks distribution TBD. Please look for the signs denoting each station. Staff will be ready to help with distribution and retrieval of items to ensure safety and social distancing. Good Evening Spartan Families, We are proud to announce that, in spite of these challenging times, our Cedar students will be recognized for their hard work and effort. We will be holding a virtual Spartan Spectacular on Thursday May 28, 2020. All students receiving an award will be emailed by the end of this week with more information. Our Spartan Spectacular will take place on YouTube Live on May 28, 2020 with 7th grade students being recognized from 11-12pm and 8th grade students being recognized from 1-2:00pm. Thank you!

Here is some important info as we wrap up the school year: * This Friday 5/22 is a snow day which means no school. Monday 5/25 is Memorial Day. Enjoy your 4 day weekend! * We are still awaiting our yearbook delivery. * We will have students pick up yearbooks, PE clothes, award certificates from Spartan Spectacular and drop off textbooks June 1st-4th. This will be a drive through drop off and pick up. More information to come soon. * Students will keep their Chromebooks for now and will exchange them for a new one when school restarts for the 20-21 school year. * Last day of school is Thursday 5/28 Let’s finish strong Spartans!

Good Evening Spartan Families, Hoping this message finds all of our families healthy and safe. Our staff has been working hard in preparing for the first day of distance learning which will start tomorrow, Monday April 6th. We will begin the morning with morning announcements at 8:25am through CMS Instagram live @cms_spartans. Good Evening Spartan Families, As we prepare for this new journey of distance learning, we would like to remind our students to monitor their HUSD student email, CMS Instagram, CMS Facebook and/or the CMS Website for information pertaining to our distance learning program. Reminder that the official first day of distance learning will be April 6th. We have had several requests for students wanting to retrieve items from their PE lockers. While we understand students wanting their personal items from their lockers, we are concerned for the health and safety of our students and staff at this time. We will be working to develop a procedure that will be safe for all to pick up their items from the locker room, and communicate that to our students and parents soon. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We wish all of our families a fantastic evening and are looking forward to seeing our students in our "virtual" classrooms on Monday!

Good evening Spartan families! Third quarter grades are posted and available on Infinite Campus. Progress reports will not be mailed home. Should you need a hard copy, please contact the school, and we will accommodate as soon as possible. Additionally, due to the recent CoVid 19 stay at home orders, many members of the CMS staff are working from home. It may be necessary for teachers and staff to contact families via telephone during this time. When staff are making these phone calls, please keep in mind, they may be using a restricted or private phone number. Just a reminder, we still have several 7th grade students who have not turned in their registration packets for the 20-21 school year. There is a box placed outside the main office to drop off registration forms from 9:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. Registration packets must be completed and turned in by Friday, April 10th. We miss all of our Spartans, and wish you all good health!
