CMS offers free tutoring after school every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:30-4:30. Tutoring is located in room 15 and students may come once or every time. It is a great quiet place for students to get help from teachers, finish assignments, or complete homework. If your students are bus riders, there is a bus to take them home after tutoring ends at 4:30.

HUSD recently learned of the unfortunate closure of Encore Middle/High School. Our staff is eager to assist any Encore families who live within the district boundaries and wish to attend an HUSD school to make this untimely transition as seamless as possible. If parents need help determining which HUSD school services their home address, please contact the HUSD Student Services Department at (760)244-4411 ext. 7233. Current High School seniors wishing to enroll are encouraged to meet with their school site’s counseling office as soon as possible and bring their Encore transcripts. Due to lack of ticket sales and other logistics, the winter dance will be postponed until the end of January. The specific date will be announced after winter break. We also want to wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season.
Boys Volleyball had a great season and qualified for the playoffs. Unfortunately, they fought a tough match in the first round and were eliminated. They put their heart and soul into the game and into the season. Great season boys. Their success was coached by our wonderful coaches Ms. Sandoval and Ms. Jauregui
HUSD families, don't forget about the 2024 Jolly Parade on Friday 12/13/24! The parade carrying Santa, Mrs. Claus and Buddy the Elf will be arriving at Cedar Middle School at 5pm, at Hesperia Junior at 6:15pm and at Ranchero Middle at 7:30pm! Free photos with Santa and candy for all children and food and snacks will be available for purchase! Santa hopes to see you there!

8th grade girls basketball tryouts will be held on Dec 18th through Dec 20th 6:00am-8:00am in the GYM.
