Good evening Spartan families! We are looking for 2 parents to participate on the CMS School Site Council for the 22-23 school year. We will have 4 meetings from 3:00pm-4:00pm to discuss school safety, school budget and other important information. We would also like to remind our families that students are not allowed to wear slides or Crocs for PE. We ask that all students bring a pair of tennis shoes to leave in their PE lockers. Wearing slides and Crocs during physical activity does present a safety risk which we are trying to prevent. Thank you and Go Spartans!

Good evening Spartan families and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. The CMS staff has been hard at work in preparing for the first day of school. Tomorrow, Thursday August 4th is the first day of school for students. School will start at 8:00am and students will be released at 2:48pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays are early out for students with a release time 1:52pm. Please be sure to have a plan in place with your child for dismissal time. Safety of our students is a top priority. To better maintain the safety of all, parents and guardians will need to drop their child off at the back of the school. Please enter the main parking lot from the far west entrance off of Cedar Street and go to the back of the school. DO NOT DROP CHILDREN OFF AT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL ON CEDAR STREET. For students who are bus riders, please check the CMS website for bus information. All students should come to school with their Chromebook fully charged and ready to go. Books that were picked up during open house can stay at home until further instructions are given to students in their individual classes. Good evening Spartan families. Congratulations to all of our students who finished the school year strong. A special congrats to our 8th grade students who will be moving on to high school. For those 8th grade students attending the Knott's Berry Farm trip tomorrow, 5/27 please be at CMS by 8:15am so that the buses can leave at 9:00am. Bring snacks and money if you would like to purchase items while at the park and for those who have season passes, don't forget to bring them with you. Buses will leave Knott's Berry Farm by 8:00pm and be home at approximately 10:00pm. Please be sure to be at the school on time to pick up your child. Thank you.

Hello Spartan Families! We will begin state testing on Monday, April 18th, and we will continue testing through Thursday, April 28th. It is VERY important students are to school on time with their charged Chromebook and their Chromebook chargers. No electronic devices, including phones, smart watches, and gaming devices, are allowed in the testing room during the test. They will be confiscated and parents or guardians will have to pick them up during office hours. Good evening Cedar families. This is Principal Maxwell with an important message. Campus safety is a top priority at CMS. If and when a situation arises that jeopardizes the safety of the campus, administration and school police will deal with the students accordingly. Violence is never the answer and we want our families to know we have staff willing and able to assist students work through difficult times. Running on campus is not allowed and cell phones are to be turned off and stowed away during the school day. Good morning Spartan families. We would like to remind our families that this is the final week of the 3rd quarter. Teachers will be finalizing their quarter grades on Friday afternoon. Friday, 3/18 is a minimum day and all CMS students will be released at 12:32pm. Please plan accordingly. Students will return from Spring Break on 3/28/22. We would like to wish all of our families a very safe and happy Spring Break.

The Cedar Middle School Parent Compact and Family Engagement Policy, as well as the Three-Way School Pledge, are available in the front office for review beginning tomorrow, Thursday, February 24th, through Thursday, March 3rd. There will also be a form for parents to provide any suggestions, give input, or to ask questions about these two documents. The office is open from 7:30AM to 3:30PM daily.
