We will begin the morning with morning announcements at 8:25am through CMS Instagram live @cms_spartans. Good Evening Spartan Families, As we prepare for this new journey of distance learning, we would like to remind our students to monitor their HUSD student email, CMS Instagram, CMS Facebook and/or the CMS Website for information pertaining to our distance learning program. Reminder that the official first day of distance learning will be April 6th. We have had several requests for students wanting to retrieve items from their PE lockers. While we understand students wanting their personal items from their lockers, we are concerned for the health and safety of our students and staff at this time. We will be working to develop a procedure that will be safe for all to pick up their items from the locker room, and communicate that to our students and parents soon. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We wish all of our families a fantastic evening and are looking forward to seeing our students in our "virtual" classrooms on Monday!

Good evening Spartan families! Third quarter grades are posted and available on Infinite Campus. Progress reports will not be mailed home. Should you need a hard copy, please contact the school, and we will accommodate as soon as possible. Additionally, due to the recent CoVid 19 stay at home orders, many members of the CMS staff are working from home. It may be necessary for teachers and staff to contact families via telephone during this time. When staff are making these phone calls, please keep in mind, they may be using a restricted or private phone number. Just a reminder, we still have several 7th grade students who have not turned in their registration packets for the 20-21 school year. There is a box placed outside the main office to drop off registration forms from 9:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. Registration packets must be completed and turned in by Friday, April 10th. We miss all of our Spartans, and wish you all good health!

Good Afternoon Cedar Families. Due to inclement weather conditions, all soccer practice and tryouts are cancelled for today and tomorrow. We will resume on Monday 3/16/2020.

Good morning Cedar Spartans. Our AVID trip to Cal Poly Pomona today has been cancelled. This is due to restrictions on large groups, as universities are implementing social distancing due to recent health concerns related to CoVid 19.

Due to rain in the forecast the Hesperian Ninja Warrior Finals will be rescheduled to FRIDAY, APRIL 3 2020. Elementary will start at 8:00 AM, middle school at 10:15 AM, and high schools at 11:15 AM.

Hello HUSD parents and students. Here is the student calendar for the 2020-2021 school year (next school year). If you would like a hard copy of the calendar or have any other questions please contact the front office at your school.

Attention Spartan families. Due to scheduling conflicts, we will be postponing the soccer camp scheduled for tomorrow, 2/28 and moving it to Monday March 2nd from 3:30-5. Thank you.

HUSD is going digital for open enrollment! All students will be receiving an email with instructions on how to apply for a transfer to another school. Please be sure to look for this email. Parents can also visit the Cedar Middle School website at https://www.cedarmiddle.org/ for more information. Open enrollment will begin Friday February 21, 2020 and close on March 20, 2020.

HUSD's College & Career Fair will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4:30-7pm at the HUSD Office in the Annex Building. All middle and high school students are welcome! With representation from many prestigious organizations, our students will be guided to plan a future of success.

Good afternoon Spartan families. This week ASB is sponsoring a spirit week. Monday = Holiday Hat Day Tuesday = Ugly Holiday Sweater Day Wednesday = Dress to Impress (winter dance day) Thursday = Pajama Day Thursday 12/19 is a minimum day and students will be released at 1:02pm. Winter break starts Friday 12/20, with school resuming on Monday 1/6. Semester report cards will not be mailed home until after winter break. All final grades will be posted in Infinite Campus by Friday 12/20. If you need your Infinite Campus login please contact the CMS counseling department. Lastly, there will be an increase in HUSD police presence on campus this Tuesday, 12/17 due to them conducting their monthly meeting at CMS. Good evening, the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) of Cedar Middle School would like to invite you to our 2nd meeting this Friday, December 6th at 8:45am in Room 70. Come and meet other parents whose students have English as their second language and get involved in your students education. We hope to see you here this Friday, December 6th.

On Thursday 11/14/19 we will be honoring our local Veterans with dinner at CMS. This event is free to our local Veterans and their families. Please RSVP to yadira.moreno@hesperiausd.org by Tuesday, November 12th. The CMS Parent Club will be having their monthly meeting on Tuesday 11/12/19 in room 70 starting at 8:45am.
